Lost

Beneath a velvet canvas,

vast and deep,

I seek a tranquil pool, a

haven's keep,

With Orion's belt a

gleaming thread,

I find my way to realms

where dreams are spread.

But alas, the city's glow, a

luminous veil.

Battles the darkness, the

the starry trail grows pale.

Oh, Milky Way, a river of

cosmic grace,

Once flowed brightly

across the night's face.

Now, dimmed by city

lights, its tale recedes,

A river unseen, its beauty

lost to our deeds
